Ingredients

6 cubes

onions

Diced onions

water

1½Ltr Water

jollof spice

Bicarbonate of Soda

¼ tsp

Preparation

  1. Place the beans into a sizeable pot. Pour water to cover the beans and start cooking on medium heat.
  2. Bring the beans to boil on medium heat adding onions and stock cubes.
  3. Cook till the beans are tender, adding more water from time to time, if necessary. Always keep the water at the same level as beans while cooking.
  4. Overall the beans should have been cooked for around 50-70 mins based on your desired softness.
